It's kind of depressing really. I've sometimes daydreamed of living a long time to see where the human race would go. The vision was always somewhat of a utopia, living on different worlds, mastering depression, hate, and bigotry. Sites such as this show just how far we have yet to go. It would be nice to invent an intelligence increasing pill to give to people.

There is a movie you should watch that addresses exactly this concern of yours Interbane.
It paints a hilarious, and utterly terrifying picture of teh future in which we have defeated natural selection with our technology. Intelligence, it is noted, is not favored by evolution. Surviving children are rewarded.
Idiocracy.
Rent it. it is awesome, and sadly, probably not far off the mark.

Barack Hussein Obama II (/bəˈrɑːk huːˈseɪn oʊˈbɑːmə/ ( listen); born August 4, 1961) is the 44th and current President of the United States. The first African American to hold the office, he previously served as the junior United States Senator from Illinois from January 2005 until he resigned after his election to the presidency in November 2008.
Barack Hussein Obama II aka Barry Soetoro[1] (allegedly[2][3][4][5][6] born in Honolulu Aug. 4, 1961) is the 44th President of the United States, and previously served as a first-term Democratic Senator from Illinois (2005-2008). Obama and his running mate Senator Joseph Biden won the presidential election[7] after 23 months of campaigning that spent over $700 million,[8] most of it raised from undisclosed donors.
In biology, evolution is change in the genetic material of a population of organisms from one generation to the next. Though changes produced in any one generation are normally small, differences accumulate with each generation and can, over time, cause substantial changes in the population, a process that can culminate in the emergence of new species.[1]
The theory of evolution posits a process of transformation from simple life forms to more complex life forms, which has never been observed or duplicated in a laboratory.[14][15] Although not a creation scientist, Swedish geneticist Dr. Nils Heribert-Nilsson, Professor of Botany at the University of Lund in Sweden, stated: "My attempts to demonstrate Evolution by an experiment carried on for more than 40 years have completely failed. At least, I should hardly be accused of having started from a preconceived antievolutionary standpoint."[16]
