Chimp memory far better than human memory in some areas
I remember this when i saw it on nat geo a few months back.
On the full program, they let you sit there and stare at the numbers for like ten seconds, and it still is hard as hell to remember where those numbers are.
Try it. Pause the video when the numbers are shown. Then try to finish the puzzle before the chimp.
I bet you are not the one who would have ended up with the piece of banana.

nah... it's the same with people that do the lottery... anyone that acquires a memory acquisition skill with food/money involved - usually a moron - does awesome. I've seen this in people. Especially hairy ones that smell their fingers a lot (your mother).

Hey johnson, thanks for that lesson in humility. We need that sometimes. A dog isn't a chimp, but I've often thought that my dog, with her incredible ability to attend and concentrate, has mental powers beyond mine, and she's no canine Einstein.
I've seen a lot from this bird over the years. Things like this demonstrate that humans do not hold the monopoly on any particular kind of thought, but just that we occupy a certain elevation on a sliding scale of thought ability.
In other words, there doesn't seem to be a uniquely human attribute, like love, or reasoning, or morality.
