Irishrosem - Thank you for taking the time to read my introduction and starting a thread regarding chat nights. I have no problems with message boards, but live chat is nice from time to time too. Perhaps, as Chris suggested it could be a monthly chat night (ie: the 1st Thursday of every month).

Frank - While I took 2 years of typing in high school 25 years ago, I confess that I "hunt and peck" myself. But, even with this method, I find that I have pretty decent speed ;)

So are we going to resurrect some sort of chat night or not?

George,

I would like to participate in a chat. I've found that the best way to get people to do something is to just do it and hope they join. Because of different things going on in my life I won't be available until the week of 8/6, which gives us some time to set a good night and, hopefully, drum up some interest. Is there a specific night that is good for you?

Is anyone else interested in joining?

Let's try to get this started with setting one community chat with no mention of an ongoing weekly or monthly chat schedule. If enough people show up and participate we'll know there is an interest. I too am not available till into August.

So how about Thursday, August 9:00 at 9:00 pm eastern?

If you guys like this time I'll do my best to advertise the chat date/time to the community.

Works for me. I'm having a tooth filled that day, but even if the novacaine hasn't worn off, it shouldn't affect my typing. ::115

I'm back home from Texas...ugh. Does anyone still intend to chat tomorrow at 9PM?

BTW, when I logged on tonight there was an ad on booktalk for an Ann Coulter site, gross!

I think all you have to do is click on the live chat button. Of course, you have to be logged in. I'm planning on being there, too.
