| On p 239 De Waal says that he doesn't, "believe in the continued evolution of the human race". Does anyone here at BookTalk have an opinion on this? Have we stopped evolving? |

| Whenever this topic comes up, it always intrigues me. I believe that even Darwin mentioned neoteny in humans. Here on p 240 De Waal mentions the idea that bonobos have also retained juvenile traits. I wonder what other juvenile traits might one day be pulled by evolution, from the warehouse of characteristics in our early development. |
