We're announcing books a little earlier so people have plenty of time to order their books prior to the discussion period starting. All of the above forums are up and running, but a new section has been created called, "Upcoming Book Discussion Forums," where you'll find the...yes, you guess it...the Upcoming Book Discussions. The purpose of creating the forums for book discussions that don't start for several months is to give the search engines some advance notice of our reading schedule. This may help draw in new members. Even though a forum is currently located in the "Upcoming Book Discussion Forums" section, it is still available for posting. So if the current books don't interest you scroll down to the "Upcoming Book Discussion Forums" section and dive into those forums. When the time comes those forums will be moved up into the Current sections.
You'll also notice the fiction and non-fiction suggestion threads have been moved into the "Upcoming Book Discussion Forums" section seeing as those forums are designed to help us determine what will indeed become "upcoming."
In an effort to draw more attention to some of the more active book discussions in the "Additional Fiction Book Discussions" forum and the "Additional Non-Fiction Book Discussions" forum book images have been added to both forum descriptions. These book images will change as new book discussions become more active.
And one final news item...
Last call on questions for Professor Neil Shubin, author of "Your Inner Fish." If you have read his book and would like to ask him a question or two then visit the "Your Inner Fish" forum and post your question or questions. They will be emailed to him soon. Neil is currently in the Arctic so it might take a bit for him send back his email answers, but he has very graciously agreed to answer them as soon as his schedule permits.
