Just wanted to ask you about how the books under the recommended reading side bar get there? Is it paid advertising or just simply member recommended? I have a client that was recently published for a mystery novel and is having some success. I told her about booktalk and that I would ask about how cover art gets posted.

All of those books have been donated to BookTalk.org by authors and publishers to be used as book giveaways. Look at the Contest forums. You will see that all of those books end up in the "Books Available for Awards" forum. Once they are given away they are listed in the "Books Given Away as Awards" forum.

When an author or publisher mails me a book I advertise it in our right sidebar for as long as we can afford the real estate space. Usually it will remain up for a week to three weeks. But I also place all donated books on our Featured Book Suggestions page permanently.
