For most of us, a very big part of our lives will be a dark place, we wont realize it. We live, we eat, we have some fun, we go to school, we sleep. But it will come the time, when we wake up. The moment when we truly start living.

Its not our choice, it never is. Its something quite different, as if we are force to open up our eyes. Ghandi once said: “Whatever you do in life will be insignificant, but is very important that you do it”. Its quite the quote, one of my favorites actually. Our actions might not change the world, might not me breking news, but it may change you, it make change someone. And that alone, matters most.

I’m quite positive that everyone who enters this site has the same thing in mind: fear of seeing a world without books, without literature. We see it everyday, more people quit reading or don’t even start, they despise books because of a myth of some sort, a myth that tells them it’s boring, it’s a waste of time. People who spread this myth believe it to be thruth because, as many of you know, they just haven’t find the appropiate book. That one book that changes your life.

The READER, the true reader, knows this is pure crap and tries to find a way to tell the others, to pull them out of the darkness… and yes, i am comparing us reader to the early philosophers, because it’s just so true. In fear, we turn to the only people who understand…fellow readers. This is probably why you are reading this post.

A few months ago i was at a philosophy conference, and the topic of reading and books became huge. People fear that because of knew technologies we are losing the habit of reading, that kids no longer pay attention to this. But a professor said something very true, BOOKS, good books find their readers, no matter how.

I start this blog without hope for a huge crowd, for hundreds of comments… i, however, hope to find true readers… are you there?
