Advertising Information for Authors & Publishers
Advertising Information for Authors & Publishers

If you're an author or publisher looking to promote your books your best option is to purchase ad space on BookTalk.org. But no matter what option you choose please READ THIS PAGE. We welcome you to use BookTalk.org as a tool to reach a vast audience of book lovers. We have a Google Page Rank of 5, over 14k members and close to 700k monthly page views.

TELL US ABOUT YOUR BOOKS ON OUR FORUMS

Our book discussion forums are free and open to anyone including authors and publishers. Create a free account and tell us about your books in either the Fiction Book Forum or Non-Fiction Book Forum. We have simple rules that you'll need to follow especially Rule #2.

DO NOT ADVERTISE BOOKS ON OURS BLOGS SECTION

Do NOT create a blog on BookTalk.org to advertise your books or your blog will be deleted. Blogs are for personal writing not book promotion.

MAIL US A FEW COPIES OF YOUR PRINT BOOK AND WE'LL ADVERTISE IT

We'll advertise your book on our Home page for 15 to 30 days and on our Featured Book Suggestions page permanently.

Mail books to the below address. Once we receive them you'll see your books advertised within a few days. You don't have to email us to ask if we want you to mail a few copies. Just ship them and wait for your ad to appear. The system works flawlessly and is easy for both of us.

DO NOT USE FEDEX OR UPS TO SHIP BOOKS

Make sure you do NOT use FedEx or UPS as neither will deliver to a post office box. You should use media mail, standard or expedited mail.

BOOKS MUST BE BRAND NEW, PACKAGED PROPERLY AND IN PERFECT CONDITION

Books must be NEW, in perfect condition, unmarked, no rubber stamps or stickers or blemishes of any sort. If you send a book that is not in perfect condition we won't advertise it. Please package your books properly using bubble wrap or another means to keep them free from damage in shipment. Damaged books will not be advertised. Books mailed in Priority Mail envelopes without additonal wrapping are almost always damaged upon arrival.

NO REVIEW COPIES, GALLEY PROOFS OR UNEDITED PROOFS

Advanced Reader Copies, Unedited Proofs, and Galley Proofs are not acceptable. We are offering ad space in exchange for brand new perfect condition print books. To appreciate the value of this offer visit our ad page to see our rates.

YOUR BOOK MUST BE AVAILABLE ON AMAZON.COM

Your book must be published, have an ISBN number and be available for sale on Amazon.com.

WE SELL MANY OF THE BOOKS MAILED TO US

We sell a large percentage of the books we receive out of necessity. There are times when we receive more books than we could possibly give away. Donated books are in exchange for ad space and not in exchange for a book review, promotion or giveaway. If you would like your book promoted in a special way buy ad space. If you would like to bypass the process of packaging books, shipping them and then seeing them offered for sale on Amazon.com visit our ad page and purchase a "Featured Book Suggestion" advertisement.

BUY ADVERTISEMENT SPACE ON BOOKTALK.ORG

If you'd like your book, website or product to receive maximum exposure then purchase an ad. Our rates are substantially lower than what you'd expect for such a high traffic website. BookTalk.org was never designed to be a business. Our goal is to promote literacy and a passion for learning. Offering low-priced ad space to authors furthers our mission. Compare our page views and ad rates to any other site and you'll see that our pricing is reasonable.

We handle ad placement manually so that each ad is done properly. If you'd like to place an ad visit our ADVERTISE page.
