The Kite Runner? Similar?
Yes there's similar parts throught the both stories. It mainly takes place in Kabul, as The Kite Runner it showed how a man suffers in afghanistan, in A Thousand Splendid Suns it shows how a women suffers and goes through hardships. I like The Kite Ruuner more mainly because it shows how a man goes through in the story, even though a women suffers much more in the middle east. Overall it's a great story, it has conflicts and it has a overwheelming ending. You should give it a try.
