Hallo-I am an ancient Englishman;I live with my Italian wife in Belgium.
My favourite book {for the moment} is ''The Good Soldier Schweik'' by Jaroslav Hasek. I have about 3,000 books ,most of which I have read.
I love Frida Boccara, Italian food and wandering about {walking sounds so Goal-ish}. I dislike Greek words being used where English will suffice,
eg Phobia for fear. But ,mostly ;I am tolerant to all. Thank-you. |

Hey and welcome! I love your user name. I got ticked once for jaywalking in Columbus, Ohio. I am trying so hard to remember how to wander. I've been marching around in my life for so many years now. Letting go is not as easy as one would think.

Hello Jaywalker, welcome to Booktalk!
3,000 books sounds like a serious case of addiction, so I think you qualify for membership.
Make yourself at home, wander where the threads take you and start posting wherever you fancy... |

Hello and welcome,
''The Good Soldier Schweik'' by Jaroslav Hasek
I just ordered that book. Then I can add it to my stack of books to read.
Wandering. Yes, wandering is a good thing to do. You can do mini-wandering as in a book store.

Hi Jaywalker. Welcome to BookTalk.
I too have quite a book collection, but the difference between you and me is that you've read most of your books. Mine are collecting dust waiting for me to have a little more leisure time on my hands so I can grab a few and dive in.
I hope you stick around. |
