Based on the above, if I am being ridiculed, I am being abused am I not?

This gives me quite a laugh. I have been too much of an activist in our small town, which by the way does have a newspaper securely in the pocket of town management!

What I will do is to write to someone by email to verify that what I heard is correct.

This is a small town. We have a Lutheran, Methodist, Catholic and Episcopalian Church. Not what you would call religious extremism.
