Agnosticism Game
I want to play a game. The game is, I make a proposition. Then you have to tell me if I've given you enough information to move from the "agnostic" position.
So everyone starts at "agnostic". I give information, and you have to determine if it's conclusive enough to change your beliefs. This entire game is hypothetical.
For example, I could tell you that I saw a dinosaur walk through my back yard yesterday. You ask if you could see the paw print. I say yes, then we pretend you've seen the paw print. Then you have to determine if you have enough information to move off the "agnostic" position. In this case, the obvious answer is no. I could have fabricated the paw print. So you request to check for DNA sampling. I tell you the results indicate the organism is a large lizard. Is that enough to move you off the "agnostic" position?
Keep in mind the agnostic position is the position of "I don't have enough information", meaning, the answer can't definitely be shown to be either true or false. So, you can't move from the agnostic position until you're certain you have enough information.
Also, only one question at a time. You can't lump 2 questions in together in on sentence.
So here's the claim; Three apples fell from a tree and landed one atop the other to form a perfect stack. This happened yesterday

Who were the witnesses?
Please revise question to read: What were the occupations of the witnesses?

There is no such thing as an 'otherwise' witness:
Quote:
A witness is someone who has firsthand knowledge about a crime or significant event through his or her senses (e.g. seeing, hearing, smelling, touching) and can help certify important considerations about the crime or event. A witness who has seen the event first hand is known as an eyewitness. Witnesses are often called before a court of law to testify in trials.
From Wikipedia
We would also have to assume from Interbane's post that someone saw the event happen otherwise they would not know the apples fell to form a stack. It would be possible someone to have arranged them that way. Though my question is only four words long, it will elicit multiple pieces of information: How many witnesses were there and who were they. On second thought, I wish to rephrase my question to; What were the occupations of the witnesses?

Was this witnessed first hand by the person making the claim, or is the person making the claim based on something other than a first hand account. In short, is this some BS like the New Testament where someone is acting as if they were a first hand witness when they actually were not?

You included more than one question in your first sentence.

Now, I took this to mean that we could only pose one question in the form of one sentence in each post.
Also, I think you mean the Gospels not the NT don't you. And btw, the only Gospel which was not written by an eyewitness was Luke and he advises of that but says he interviewed eyewitnesses for his account.

My question to Interbane was as follows:
Quote:
Were the witnesses first hand, or otherwise?
The following posts are nothing more than elaborating to you, Stahrwe, as to what exactly the one question means, since you weren't able to get it the first time around. Got it now? Or are you going to continue trying to troll up this thread? I can ask you as many questions as I'd like of course because only Interbane has limited the questions coming HIS WAY to one.
And BTW, all Gospels are in the NT, each are anonymous letters attributed to the Characters Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John at later dates, and each contain evidence of a second century composition. This has been well established whether or not you wish to accept the reality. It sort of parallels this situation we have going here with the apples...
